Biography
Circus Blues is the eagerly anticipated new album by The Rich Evans band. The tracks it contains were recorded over the course of a week on a farm deep in rural France. Initial reactions to live performances of select songs have been incredibly enthusiastic.
Having played together in various guises in recent years, the band finally got together in its current line-up in the autumn of 2007. The resulting album release Blue Country Eyes. It was released on the band's own Studiophonics label, is available worldwide on iTunes and has been playlisted by the following radio stations:
CMR Nashville, Radio Six International, KYOURADIO San Francisco, WGWG 88.3fm N&S Carolina, Country Music 24 Germany, Radio GoldRush New Zealand, Moozikoo Radio Nashville, Edge Radio 99.3 FM Australia and Blues Radio UK. In addition, it has featured on several of the Americana podcasts The Miller tells her tale.

The band's members have all had rich and varied musical histories. Past achievements include worldwide touring and recording, publishing deals, song writing awards, high profile appearances alongside such luminaries as Joe Cocker, Jimmy Cliff and Bill Wyman, extended national radio play and prolific single and album releases. Apprenticeships have been served on covers and show band circuits and band members are frequently in demand for session work. In addition, Rich has a one album solo deal with Stoneagle Music - and can count blues legend Pinetop Perkins as labelmate. This affiliation has seen him being recorded by their production team in the same studio as Eric Clapton, BB King and Jimmy Vaughan. In addition, he has spent time in Nashville writing and recording with Buddy Mondlock and has played at both the Folk Alliance festival and SXSW.
